Jack and Lois bought 220 Hampton Ave in May 1952. We moved Jack into Clark Retirement Community in November 2008 - a 56+ year run!
This home served as their "Cape Canaveral" from which they launched six other families.
Today, Jack's grandson, Chris Morrow and his family, wife Katie and daughter Ella Rose, are re-consructing the house and this third generation will soon be making this their home base.
If they have even only half the memories there that we had, their family will be rich, indeed.

This Blog is dedicated to sharing the memories of Boomers and Gen X'ers growing up in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s & 90s in one of the greatest neighborhoods in America - Hampton Avenue in the Eastown section of Grand Rapids, MI.
We welcome your posts, photos, stories and anything else to help us fill in the mosaic moving picture of life on Hampton Ave!
